The Birkin! Iconic

Ok so when it comes to me and a  Hermés Birkin Bag I don't think obsession is the right word for the feeling I have for this bag. 

This leather handmade beauty is named after the actress/singer Jane Birkin (I wonder how many she owns...... Ohhhhhh the thought) this bag literally stamps wealth on a person's forehead or shall I say forearm when worn with out even speaking a word. With the price tag ranging from $8,000- $200,000 or more depending on size and detail you certainly have to have a nice bank account and not want for anything before you decide to drop thousands of dollars on a bag right? Yes? Or No? 

Well that's typically true unless you're one of my customers who's walking down the isle to pick up a prescription immediately I spot the bag here's how the conversation went.... 

Me: "OMG IS THAT A BIRKIN?" (Yelling)

Customer: "Yes!"(Smiling) 

Me: "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THIS BAG IS?" (Still yelling... as I grab the bag) 

Customer: "Yes I do!" (of course she does)

Me: "OMG! Where did you get it?" "Can I look in the bag?" (needless to say I'm already in the bag... It's empty) 

Customer: "You sure can" "You'll never guess where I got it" (she's excited because I'm excited maybe because I know what kind of bag it is) 

Me: "Where?" ( not looking up at her I'm smelling the leather at this point, as I hold it like a newborn) 

Customer: "A thrift store, I paid 30 bucks" (cheesing hard pearly whites showing) 

Me: (Big pause.... Now starring at her eyes blinking still holding the bag)..... "Where?" (Finally words) 

Customer: "The one by Emery and Green road" 

Me: "OMG I live down the street" (feeling a slight faint) 

Customer: "Clearly they didn't know what they were selling it wouldn't have been that price or in there at all" 

Me: "I have to sit down" 

Customer: "I saw it, grabbed it, immediately brought it and ran out" 

Me: (laughing) "Same thing I would've done" (feeling is now coming back I regained all normal blood flow) 

I ended up after maybe a half an hour finishing her transaction but I couldn't do anything else the rest of the day. Thoughts consumed me on how the day before I almost walked into that exact thrift store (which is the day she brought it) that could've been me. I had to sit my chest literally started to hurt (lol) I couldn't believe I was that close to my dream bag. That was a good/bad day for me lol.

There's also a spa treatment for this bag yes! I said spa treatment. It's offered for bags that's overly used (is it that serious? YES!)....... I can go on and on but I won't check out the pics below!
